    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Thursday, November 25th, 2010

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at We wish you and your family a warm and loving holiday, full of cheer. Don’t forget to visit and enter our Christmas plate giveaway this week at !

Personalized ruffled 2 piece take-me-home set

Thanksgiving is a time of reflection. We pause and give thanks for all the gifts that we have been given. The gifts of life, love and health that flow through our  lives everyday. The gift of life; yes, a new life born every day and for this we give thanks. Parents offer up gratitude for their children, their health and the happiness they have been offered by the small smile that is held in their arms. Children are a blessing that are cherished every day.

    Stella & Dot Bridal Boutique

Love is a beautiful gift that we are all offered up in one way or another. There is love in a baby’s eyes, and also in a lover’s touch. Long before any babies are introduced, love fills a heart to bursting in the swell of romance. Who cannot be thankful for that? A partner to stand by your side is a source of huge wealth and thankfulness. Someone to talk to, care for, share with and love. Truly a blessing to be had.

    Personalized Baby Scrubs

Health is something to be striven for and  praised every day. Being able to rise every morning with breathe in our lungs is an action we take for granted, but I dare say is worth more than that. Compare your ability to walk down the street with head held high and whistling a tune to the dark days gripped by a nasty cold or a dreaded illness far worse.  Appreciating good health and giving thanks that you can maintain it are actions  that should also be appreciated and valued.

    Personalized Family Frame

On Thanksgiving, thoughts turn most often to the friends and family that surround us at table though. With full hearts and big smiles, a look around the room brings thanks to the lips for all the important people in our lives. It also reminds us of those lost and not able to join, but thoughts are dear none the less.

We wish you moments of thoughtfulness, love, life, health and happiness with those most important to you during the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving from

    Friday, November 19th, 2010

With our Giveaways well under way, we are feeling in the festive spirit. My mind wanders to the glory of holidays and I am struck by the image of the stark tree outside my window. All the leaves have departed outside, but soon a Christmas tree will deck the halls. With that thought, let’s look at all things trees today!

This “Birds In A Tree” wall art from Oopsy Daisy by Rachel Taylor is an attractive wall art which depicts the picture of friendly birds sitting on the tree, colorful butterflies and beautiful flowers. This top quality canvas reproduction is stretched over wood bars with no glass to break. This piece is made using the Giclee printing process and has the look and feel of an original painting. It is equipped with a wire hanger on the back for easy wall displaying so no framing is required. Each canvas is decoratively finished along the 3/4 inch thick sides. It can be wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth. Makes a wonderful addition to any child’s room or playroom. Designed by artist, Rachel Taylor and designer’s biography comes attached to the back.

This children’s clothes tree is a decorative way to tidy up pajamas, hats and jackets. The tree has a cottage design & ball feet giving it a playful vintage look. It is available in several colors including blue, green,  and soft chocolate. Pretty and practical, this piece is a great addition to both boys and girls rooms.

This Oopsy Daisy “Jellybean Tree” nightlight features a bright and colorful tree along with a bird; a vibrant addition to your little one’s room. This nightlight can be easily wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth and is ideal for your child’s room as it does not have a glass surface to break. You can personalize the nightlight with your child’s name or any other word or phrase like “Good Night”. This nightlight is designed by Gale Kaseguma, whose biography is included with each unit.

And of course, my mind started with thoughts of Christmas, so a post on trees would not be complete this time of year without a fabulous Chrstimas tree to share! This personalized Christmas Tree tee shirt in blue is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas in style and with fun. The contemporary tree design is printed on a 100% white cotton. Soft and comfy, it is a great companion for jeans and other bottoms. These shirts are not pre-shrunk. Available in classic or girly (fitted style) and with short and long sleeves.

Now don’t forget that it is giveaway time here at Babybox! There is still time to enter the giveaways for both the Dreidel plate and Advent calendar. See the posts for rules to enter and visit us on Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to check back in again next week for more exciting giveaways! Have a great weekend.

    Safety First

    Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

From the moment you find out that you are going to have a child, life changes. Taking on the responsibility of tending to another life can be joyous, but it also comes with the challenge of keeping a new life happy, comfortable and safe. Life is a precious thing, but we all know that it is fraught with challenges and hurdles to overcome. It starts with making sure that you get proper nutrition and vitamin supplements in pregnancy (don’t forget to take your folic acid ladies!), but is quickly transformed into the ultimate responsibility of keeping another life free from harm. knows the hurdles that new parents face and offers products to help you keep your baby safe and happy for a long time to come.

It all starts the moment you bring your new bundle of joy home. Babies are soft and cute little beings, but newborns do not stay clean for long! Diaper changes and the constant redressing of those little onesies that get spit up on, means that you will need someplace safe to change your little monkey. While newborns may be relatively still in the beginning, they certainly don’t stay that way. Keep your baby cozy and safe on our organic changing pads. They feature a waterproof organic cotton cover made with luxurious organic cotton fabric, organic cotton filling, and a clear 100% polyethylene food-grade waterproof coating that is non-allergenic and easy-to-clean. With firm support and a non-toxic design (NO Vinyl, PVC, or Phthalates – NO Polyurethane Foam and NO Latex or Wool for allergy concerns) this contoured changing pad with safety buckle to secure baby while changing, as well as easy snap screws to secure it to the dresser gives you the piece of mind to know that your baby will be secure every time they need that next diaper or wardrobe change.

Just as baby doesn’t stay still for long  on the change table, they don’t stay still for long anyplace else either. In the blink of an eye, your newborn will be rolling over, scooting, crawling, and finally running everywhere they need and want to go. Sometimes you just have to keep them in or out of spaces to keep them safe though. has a GREAT substitute for unsightly baby gates. Our standard and custom built doors transform a child’s room into a unique, personal and SAFE space.

Opening the door to a child’s imagination begins with a door. This high quality personalized element adds fun and interest to a room before you have even entered it. This solid wood core birch door is built to fit a standard size doorframe for easy installation. The half door provides a child unique access to their room and when locked provides the parents the safety typically requiring an unsightly baby gate. You and your little one will love this door and the peace of mind that it offers.

Babies are kept safe in the womb, bassinet, then crib, but as they grow and develop they need to expand their safety zones. That’s when you need to move them out of the crib and into their very own big-kid beds. Here we introduce the oeuf modern toddler bed. Its practicality and sleek design segues easily into the nursery. Equipped with safety rails that don’t hinder a child’s ability to climb in and out, the toddler bed offers an easy transition from the crib, enabling the autonomy that they desire, but the security that they are not ready to move away from just yet.

So while there may be many bumps and bruises in the road ahead, taking precautions and putting a little safety first will make everyone feel a whole lot better.

    The Christmas Letter

    Friday, November 12th, 2010

As the days get shorter, the calendar year winds slowly to a close. It may not quite be time for New Year’s resolutions, but a time for reflection is upon us, as thoughts of Christmas cards and letters spring to mind. While it is lovely to have all your important people close at hand, invariably the address book will have loved ones flung far and wide. Perhaps now is the time to pick up that pen and draft a copy of your Christmas letter for those not close at hand.

The Rose desk from Country Cottage is the perfect place to craft that letter. This piece offers ample workspace, two large side drawers and two center slim drawers to keep supplies. In addition, the pull-out writing desk provides an additional space for creativity. The sweet desk has glass knobs to give it a sophisticated finishing touch. Country Cottage makes furniture using quality craftsmanship that is constructed from solid hardwood paint finishes on Poplar hardwood and stain finishes on Alder hardwood. The words will flow with ease perched at this exquisite desk.

So slide up to the Rose desk and reach into the drawer for your Posh peacock stationery with “Monogram Pink/Choc Scallop” printed on it. Take a deep breath and let your mind drift back over the year of fun, frolic and of course scrapes and bruises along the way, and while those images are fresh in your mind scribe them into your best Christmas letter ever! Your recipients will be delighted to see this bright colored stationery set, which includes a decorative paper wrap and ribbon and is packaged in a clear cellophane bag. The antics of your year in passing will put a smile on everyone’s face delivered on your personalized stationary set.

Before you toss all those hand-written letters into the mail, there is just one more detail to attend to; the envelopes. While it might seem that addressing all those envelopes can be the most agonizing part of sending out Christmas greetings, these personalized holiday address labels “Trim the Tree” make it easy. They add the perfect finishing touch to your holiday cards or party invitation envelopes, thank you notes or personalized stationery (plus they save your hand from cramping up)! The labels can be personalized as shown, or be creative and come up with your own wording! Choose from several font styles to make them as unique as your hand-written letter.

Of course,  sometimes less is more. These Fontaine Maury Holiday Photo Cards with Provence Pattern in Red might be all that you desire to send out to your friends and loved ones. A simple note to say that you are in our thoughts, topped off with a personalized touch with your favorite photos lets everyone know you care. Let us create a holiday photo card just for you by emailing your photo to and include your order confirmation number so we can match it up to your order. Order a minimum of 25 and then multiples of 5 for everyone on your list.

    Veterans Day

    Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with lots of pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations.”

These were the words uttered by President Woodrow Wilson on November 11th 1919, the first Armistice Day, to commemorate those that had served and died protecting the Nation during the Great War, or as we know it by today, World War 1. On June 1 1954, President Eisenhower signed legislation to change the name of Armistice Day to Veterans Day to help recognize all veterans that have served in the military. Every year on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, we stop to pay our respects to those brave souls who have believed in the cause of freedom and given their lives so that we can retain ours. Please take a moment to bow your head and offer thanks and remembrance to all those self-less veterans that did not come home. The freedom that we enjoy is a gift from the men and women that have died serving our great nation. At, we honor them…

    In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.
